I just got back from IYC. Ok I got back two days ago. I had a great time. I made friends with people out of our youth group and in our youth group. I sang at this talent show thing they had and about 25-35 people came up to after and said they liked my voice and the songs I played. I played songs I wrote. The onsed I played were Redeemed and Reign. It was a really cool experience. One of many things that stuck out to me was the fact that you can't just pray. You have to believe in your prayer and come before God with reverence. Francis Chan(the main speaker) brought up the Holy of Holies. He restated the fact that only one man could go into that room once a year and sometimes die in there, and now we have can enter that room whenever we want by prayer, yet we act like it is a thing to sit through. He said we should go into prayer like we are going behind the curtain and we should realize that we are talking to God. The creator. The Holy one. Jehova. We need to go into God's presence knowing that the creator of the entire universe wants us too. He gave us the ability to call him Abba. And yet most of us don't even care that we are praying. How disrepectful is that when men died for touching the Ark of the Covenant wrong and we could care less about prayer. That is just one of the things that stould out to me.
